We are four undergraduate students at the University of Virginia pursuing an entrepreneurial venture. Amidst this pandemic we wanted to combat the issue of leaving the house without a mask that many people encounter on a daily basis. We also wanted to find a safe and clean place people could keep their masks when not in use.

We created the scrunchie-mask as a solution to this problem. If you always left the house with a mask around your wrist, you would never find yourself unprepared or unsafe. By incorporating a small pocket into a traditional scrunchie worn on the wrist or in the hair, we were able to make this vision happen.
